About us

A salon built on doing it properly.

Kiki Nails & Lashes is a nail and lash studio in Land O' Lakes. Fresh tools, honest pricing and techs who'd rather talk you out of a bad idea than take your money for one.

Why we opened

Nobody should leave a salon
feeling rushed.

Most people have a story about a nail appointment that went wrong. A set filed so thin it split a week later. A price that climbed $30 between sitting down and standing up. A tech who nodded at a photo and then delivered something else entirely.

We opened Kiki Nails & Lashes in Land O' Lakes because none of that is complicated to avoid. It comes down to giving each chair enough time, being upfront about what things cost, and saying so when a request won't work rather than finding out together halfway through.

The menu is wide on purpose. Nine pedicure tiers means you can book a $35 maintenance appointment on a Tuesday lunch break or an $89 one on a Saturday, and nobody makes you feel cheap for picking the first.

What happens

Your first visit,
start to finish.

No mystery, no surprises at the register. Here's roughly how an appointment runs so you know what you're walking into.

We talk first

Show us the photo, tell us what you're after and how you use your hands day to day. We'll say whether it holds at that length and which system suits, acrylic, dip, Gel-X or builder gel.

You hear the price

Before anyone picks up a file. Shape, length, design and removal are all separate charges on our menu, so we total them at the desk rather than at the end.

Fresh tools come out

Files and buffers per client, tools sanitised between services, liners changed on every pedicure. You'll see them opened at your station, not handed over from the one before.

We work at the right pace

Cuticle work that doesn't leave you sore the next day takes a few extra minutes. We'd rather run a fraction over than send you out with a nail bed that stings.

You check before you pay

Look at them in proper light, flex your hands, tell us if a shape isn't sitting right. Adjusting it now takes two minutes and costs nothing.

We book the next one

Especially for lashes, where refills are cheaper the sooner you come back. Two weeks costs noticeably less than four, and past four you're usually paying full set again.

Where we draw the line

Things we won't
bend on.

Some of these cost us money. We'd rather lose the upsell than have you back in two weeks with a split nail.

We won't over-file your natural nail

Thinning the nail plate makes a set grip harder and look smoother on day one. It also means your own nails are wrecked by the time you stop wearing enhancements. We take off what we need to and no more.

We won't promise a length that won't hold

Nail beds differ. If your natural nail is short or your work is hard on your hands, a long coffin set is going to snap and we'll tell you that before we start rather than sell it to you twice.

We won't hide charges until the end

Length, custom shape, per-nail design, extra colours and removal all have published prices. They get added out loud at the desk, never quietly at the register.

We won't rush a lash set

Isolating lashes properly takes the time it takes. Speeding it up means extensions glued to two or three natural lashes at once, which is how people end up with gaps and soreness.

Who we look after

Land O' Lakes
and the way out.

We're on Monza Loop in Land O' Lakes, which puts us within a short drive of Lutz, Wesley Chapel, Odessa and Trinity. Plenty of our regulars book on the way home from Tampa rather than fighting for a slot closer to the city.

Kids are welcome for the kids' menu, with a parent or guardian staying in the salon. Group bookings are possible but need a call first so we can line up enough chairs and techs on the day.

Good to know

Before you
come in.

Practical things people ask on the phone. Anything not covered here, call and ask, we'd rather sort it before you drive over.

Come with clean lashes and no eye makeup. Mascara, oily cleanser or leftover primer stops the adhesive bonding properly and we'll have to spend your appointment time cleaning instead of applying. Skip the caffeine beforehand if you can, it makes it harder to keep your eyes still, and bring a hair tie. You'll be lying down with your eyes closed for a while, so it's not the appointment to book between two meetings.

Cuticle oil daily is the single biggest thing, it keeps the nail flexible so it bends instead of snapping. Wear gloves for cleaning, chemicals lift the product edge. Don't use your nails as tools for opening or scraping anything. And if a nail does chip or lift, come in for a repair from $5 rather than picking at it, because picking takes layers of your natural nail with it and we then have to work around the damage at your next full set.

Yes, and they can book their own service off the kids' menu, from a $10 polish change up to the $50 Fairy Dust Pedicure. A parent or guardian needs to stay in the salon for the whole appointment. If you're booking for both of you at the same time, call rather than booking online so we can put you in adjacent chairs.

We're a walk-in salon rather than a mobile service, so everything happens at 20410 Monza Loop in Land O' Lakes, FL 34638. Most of our clients come from Land O' Lakes itself plus Lutz, Wesley Chapel, Odessa and Trinity, and a fair few from north Tampa on the drive home.

Usually, though it depends what we're working with. Sometimes a reshape from $5 or a couple of repairs sorts it. Other times the product underneath is lifting or the nail has been filed too thin, and the honest answer is a full soak-off and a fresh start, which is $10 to remove with a service. Call and describe it, or come in and we'll look before quoting.
